Getting Started with your Tap n' Go
Once your facility has implemented Tap n' Go, you will receive a Tap n' Go Card. This card has your NFC Sticker placed on the front. We recommend attaching the sticker to your facility badge reel to keep it safe and handy. Your NFC Sticker allows you to quickly check out a SmartClip or SmartBand at the start of your shift.
Important Note - Offline Mode: We’ve improved NFC stations to make offline use more reliable and tapping more intuitive:
🔴 Red Light (Connectivity Status):
Appears only at startup if the station cannot connect to the internet. Once connected, the red light turns off and won’t reappear until the next reboot—keeping it clear that red means a startup connectivity issue only.🔵 Blue Light (Tap Feedback):
Appears immediately after a recognized card tap (when a wristband is available). The light stays on while processing, then switches to green once complete—providing instant confirmation that the tap was detected.
What do the Lights Mean on Your Charging Station?
How to Check Out a Device Using Tap n’ Go
Step 1: Locate the Charging Station
Your unit's Charging Station is typically found near the entrance or in the central nurse's station. It will look like this:
Step 2: Tap n’ Go
To check out your device, place your Tap n' Go Sticker over the Vitalacy logo on the center of the station. A green light will appear, indicating that the station is searching for a device. Once the light turns green, look for your name on one of the SmartSenors plugged into the station.

Pro Tip: You will have 20 seconds to locate your device and remove it from the Charging Station.

Step 3: Look for an Orange Light
If you place your Tap n' Go Sticker over the Vitalacy logo and see an orange light, that indicates that there are no SmartSensor available for check out. This simply means that all of the SmartSensors that are on the charging station are not fully charged and will not last a whole shift.
Step 4: Happy Washing!
You've successfully checked out your SmartClip or SmartBand! Now, you can go about your day as usual. However, please remember to return your SmartSensor to the Charging Station at the end of your shift.
